Years ago, the group Roo'ra scored an unprecedented hit with a hip-shaking dance while singing "Angel Who Lost Her Wings."

More than a decade later, the girl group KARA conquered even Japan with a single hip dance from "Mister."

Brown Eyed Girls, who are preparing for a comeback, also enjoyed the peak of their popularity with the so-called "cocky dance," which focused on the pelvis and hips, when they sang "Abracadabra." Their popularity rose and fell with the movement of their hips.

An official from KARA's agency expressed high hopes, saying, "The point of this dance is that it is similar to, yet different from, the hip dance in 'Mister.' It will be greatly loved not only by fans in Korea but also by fans across Asia."

On the other hand, some singers have suffered unintended consequences because of hip dances. A prime example is HyunA of the group 4minute, who was promoting her solo song "Bubble Pop." HyunA, who performed a seductive hip dance while singing "Bubble Pop," was hit with a ban from Korean network television. Her agency, unable to accept the decision, ultimately took the drastic step of halting her promotions.

Ahead of promoting "So Hot," the group SISTAR gave up its so-called "tail dance," in which the members shake their hips. In SISTAR's music video you can see the big, flashy tail dance, but on network television music programs they perform a "nape dance" instead. In effect, they "lowered their tails on their own" to steer clear of the recently intensified controversy over suggestive content.

KARA's hip dance is said to be causing a big stir in Japan these days. As this shows, the shape of the pelvis, including the thighs and buttocks, expresses sex appeal along with a woman's distinctive curves.

However, when excessive fat accumulates, the weight of the buttocks increases, making them wider and causing them to sag. In addition, with age, the Luschka supporting ligament beneath the buttocks weakens, and as a result it can no longer bear the weight of the buttocks, so in some cases the buttocks naturally sag.

Thigh and buttock liposuction at Venus Clinic removes fat tissue to reduce the weight of the buttocks, and by removing the downward- and outward-projecting fullness of a pear-shaped buttock, it aims to reshape the buttocks into an attractive apple shape and can lift them naturally upward.

Below are actual before-and-after photos of thigh and buttock liposuction performed at Venus Clinic.

; In the first case, buttock reduction brought the thigh and buttock sizes into balance, and the buttocks were gently lifted.

; In the second case, thigh liposuction reduced the size of the thighs, and buttocks that had been flat on both sides took on a three-dimensional, apple-like shape with more volume.

; In the fourth case, buttock liposuction gave volume to flat-looking buttocks and created a shape that is naturally lifted upward.

In many cases, a natural-looking figure is achieved only when buttock liposuction is performed together with thigh liposuction.

Thigh liposuction alone, without the buttocks, may reduce the size of the thighs, but the beauty of the distinctly feminine line that starts at the waist, passes over the buttocks, and continues into the thighs may be lost. The buttocks may also look relatively larger, which not only breaks the sense of balance but can also lead to sagging of the buttocks and an unnatural appearance.

I believe beauty is created through constant effort.
